A video game complement to the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie, Rise of the Dark Spark features 40 playable characters in a blow-everything-up action game. Rise of the Dark Spark promises superquick running and gunning, vehicle sections, and large, open levels. Gamers can play as either the heroic Autobots or the evil Decepticons throughout the single-player game, and you can even switch between sides in the middle of the campaign. Multiplayer will include head-to-head battles and the return of Escalation Mode, a co-op experience where up to four players work together to survive waves of enemy attacks. Levels you gain in single-player carry over to multiplayer portions of the game, so the new characters, abilities, and weapons you've unlocked are useable everywhere.

On par with other Transformers gamesWhich isn't a resounding review at all. Clunky controls, broken audio, you can't hear Optimus with the volume to the max, and antiquated game play.By QolotlhReviewed on 8/31/2014
